FC Utrecht remain unbeaten in the Top week in their own stadium. After draws with AZ and Feyenoord (both matches ended 1-1) the match against Ajax also ended in a tie. It remained 0-0 in Stadium Galgenwaard this afternoon.

What a saves! David Jensen was a true hero in the closing minutes of the match against Ajax. The FC Utrecht goalkeeper kept his cool and had masterful saves, stimulated by the cheering Bunnik side behind him. A good reflex after a crazy scrimmage and an amazing dive to clear a free kick by Hakim Ziyech: simply amazing.

Back and forth
The match between FC Utrecht and Ajax went back and forth. It was not always good football in Stadium Galgenwaard, where the turf is not in its best condition, but it was always passionate. The FC Utrecht players did not have the intention to give away more than one point and they made those intentions clear from start to finish.

Chances for Utrecht
In the meantime, FC Utrecht did create some good opportunities. The first real chance for Utrecht was after halftime. Zakaria Labyad took the ball from Lasse Schöne and fired from about 25 meters. Andre Onana had to stretch to clear the ball and in the corner that followed Willem Janssen tried with a header. He could not reach the ball well enough to create real danger.

Onana under attack
Also Lukas Görtler had a good chance. The German, who received his second yellow card when already substituted, fired a shot. Matthijs de Ligt cleared with a good sliding before Onana had to save. Yassin Ayoub and Sean Klaiber also tried, but did not manage to surprise the goalkeeper from Erik ten Hag’s team.

Stressful moments
On the other side of the pitch there were some thrilling moments as well, especially at the end of the game. FC Utrecht fought with everything they had to prevent Ajax from scoring, and as they managed to do so, the draw was a fact.
